The Parish Council, Village Information Centre and Museum will be closing at midday on Christmas Eve.

The Village Information Centre and Museum at the Samuel Wickens Centre, Broadmark Lane Car Park will re-open on Saturday 3 January 2026. 

The Council Offices in Woodlands Avenue will re-open on Monday 5 January 2026.

Please note that the Play Area at the Woodlands Recreation Ground will be CLOSED on Christmas Day.

This winter they’re making an extra effort to support our communities, with books and factsheets to help support with the cost of living, essential toiletries kits, plus eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers which you can borrow for free.  The Library will be closed on the 25/26 December and 1 January.
